Scott Love, PT, DPT, DHS, MPT

Board Member, Vice President & Founder
Scott Love completed his bachelor's degree in health sciences and Master of Physical Therapy degree from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA with honors. He was voted Most Outstanding Physical Therapy Student for the class of 1998. He entered the PT field practicing in the orthopedic/sports medicine area. He went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. For seven years he was Program Director of a Physical Therapist Assistant program, all the while working PRN in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Acute Care Hospitals, and Home Health Pediatrics. Dr. Love also maintained his own private practice, a manual therapy clinic for 8 years. Dr. Love joined the USA team in January of 2012 as Assistant Professor and is the Lead Instructor for Gross Anatomy, Prosthetics/Orthotics for the Flex and Residential DPT programs at the University of St. Augustine. He is an article reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics. He has completed all the prerequisite courses and hands-on hours to sit for his Certification Exam for Prosthetist Assistant. He earned a Doctor of Health Science degree with a focus on Health Science Education from the University of St. Augustine in 2016. He was awarded the Outstanding Student Achievement Award for excellence in his dissertation. He recently earned a certification in Human Anatomy. On a more personal note, he had elective right above-knee amputation surgery in 2012 as a result of a flesh-eating bacterium he acquired from a patient he was treating. He is now a very active amputee walking about 10,000 steps a day.
