Bo's Story
Bo’s 19-year-old daughter had recently become a mother, but without access to proper prosthetic supplies, she had been unable to walk since giving birth. A worn-out liner meant she couldn’t wear her prosthesis comfortably, leaving her dependent on others for mobility and unable to care for her newborn in the way every mother longs to. The simple acts of rocking her baby, stepping outside, or even walking across a room had become impossible.
Her story made its way to Steps4Love, and we knew this was a moment we were meant to step into.
With the dedication of our founder, Dr. Scott Love, and the support of board member Kira Donnelly out of Austin, TX, we quickly mobilized to provide the prosthetic liner she so desperately needed. Kira coordinated efforts to get the liner to the right hands, and Bo—driven by deep love and quiet strength—showed up to receive it on his daughter’s behalf.
The moment he held the liner in his hands was profound. It wasn’t just a piece of medical equipment—it was a promise: that his daughter would soon walk again, hold her baby without struggle, and step into this next chapter of her life not as a person limited by circumstance, but as a mother empowered by care and compassion.
Thanks to this collaboration, Bo’s daughter is walking again. She is holding her baby, finding independence, and reclaiming moments that every new parent should be able to enjoy.
At Steps4Love, we believe that prosthetic care is about more than mobility. It’s about restoring lives, empowering families, and honoring the human dignity that every person deserves—regardless of where they live or what resources they have.
Thank you to Bo, Kira, Dr. Love, and everyone who supports this mission. Every step taken is a step made possible by a community that refuses to let others walk alone.
